Let's Bake...

Can you guess what dgs I and I baked the other day? LOL
He loves to help me measure and is learning how to crack his eggs. The first one kind of "blew up" but we were cracking into a cup so it was OK.
I shows off his new apron.
Yep, it's Zucchini bread...so far we have made 4 batches, each a little different and we like the cinnamon spice flavor the best but the lemon turned out really well too...I think I might try coconut chocolate chip next LOL

Color on the Mountains

As I drove home on Wednesday from Provo I pulled over to take a couple of pictures of the mountains. Yep those are "red" trees and that means that Fall is on it's way to the valley soon.
Although we are having a very warm fall so far...high 80s to mid 90's so far and no rain, I am looking forward to the cooler temps that are on their way soon.

LIttle Girl Gift Album

Cover of the Album

A dear family friend just had a little baby girl and I made a little photo album for her to save those first precious pictures.
I started with a kit from My Mind's Eye that I purchased at Scrapbook USA expo last spring. Not my usual style but it was so pretty I couldn't resist LOL
Below are the kit and a few supplies I added

New Friends NIght

Two of our members showed off projects they have recently finished or in the "works"
KH shows her huge king sized denim top. She decided to get through all of her saved jeans and was able to make this plus two lap sized quilts. Yikes that's a bunch of jeans she had saved up! LOL
W Shows us her DD's wedding quilt that was made from blocks that she had created and used as table center pieces at the wedding. She added some personal touches such as the pizza and popcorn block to remind her DD of fun family times.
It will be a great keepsake and the quilting is lovely done by the quilter at The Stitching Corner in Orem.

I showed off my Underground RR blocks that are in the processes of being sashed and set into the top but didn't take a picture that night. I will take one right away and post it.
